Anti-Ballistic Missiles
Anti-Ballistic Missiles (ABMs) intercept and destroy incoming Interplanetary Missiles.
Note: ABMs automatically intercept incoming IPMs when a missile attack lands.

How ABMs Work
Automatic Defense
When Interplanetary Missiles attack:
- ABMs automatically launch
- Each ABM destroys one IPM
- Remaining IPMs hit defenses
Interception
IPMs Intercepted = min(ABM Count, IPM Count)
Remaining IPMs = IPM Count - ABM Count
Storage
Missile Silo Capacity
The Missile Silo stores both ABMs and IPMs:
Total Slots = Silo Level * 20
ABM = 1 slot each
IPM = 2 slots each
Storage Examples
| Silo Level | Total Slots | Max ABMs | Max IPMs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 40 | 40 | 20 |
| 4 | 80 | 80 | 40 |
| 6 | 120 | 120 | 60 |
Strategy
Defense Planning
- Maintain ABM stock against likely threats
- More ABMs = better IPM protection
- Can't rebuild instantly - preemptive stocking needed
When to Stock ABMs
- Valuable defenses worth protecting
- Active enemies with IPM capability
- Turtle playstyle
Cost Analysis
ABMs cost 10,100 resources total. Compare to:
- Defenses they protect
- Likely IPM attack cost
Limitations
ABMs only counter IPMs:
- Don't help in regular combat
- Can't attack enemy planets
- Purely defensive
