  2. Select an uninhabited planet slot
  3. Send Colony Ship on "Colonize" mission
  4. Ship is consumed, colony is established

Planet Selection

Consider when colonizing:

  • Position: Affects temperature and fields
  • Size: More fields = more buildings

Colony Ship Usage

One-Way Trip

Colony Ships are consumed on colonization:

  • Ship disappears when colony forms
  • Build new ships for each colony
  • Cannot recall once colonizing

Failed Colonization

If position is taken:

  • Ship returns to origin
  • Resources in cargo return
  • Try different coordinates

Cargo Capacity

The 250,000 cargo capacity is useful:

  • Bring starting resources to new colony
  • Load metal, crystal, deuterium, fuel cells
  • Jumpstart colony development

Recommended Starting Resources

  • Metal: 50,000 (for mines)
